We are a 501(c) charity that is dedicated to helping Bullmastiffs in need. Our organization is 100% volunteer. We are a foster-based group that receives no municipal or other government funding for our efforts to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home Bullmastiffs. Every donation we receive is used towards the veterinary needs of the animals in our care. Due to the sheer size and the complexity of the various health issues typically affecting Bullmastiffs, veterinary expenses increase exponentially. We also have forever fosters with extensive medical needs that are not able to be adopted to the public. We utilize donations to ensure these animals gets to live happy lives in a loving, volunteer foster homes.

Bullmastiff Rescuers, Inc. works with animal shelters (both private and public), Bullmastiff owners in need of assistance, and other legitimate rescue groups to aid in the care and placement of Bullmastiffs in need. Our focus is to provide for the safety of these Bullmastiffs as quickly as possible by getting them into our foster care program.
Once in our foster care program, we address the dogs' veterinary needs: spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, heartworm testing and any other medical needs specific to each dog. During the time that they are in foster care, the dogs are evaluated so that we can determine the type of home best suited to each particular dog. An important part of this effort involves educating prospective adopters (as well as the general public) regarding the characteristics and temperament of the Bullmastiff breed.
Fundraising to cover the expenses of Bullmastiff Rescuers, Inc. is a critical part of our undertaking. There are a multitude of challenges faced by all animal rescue groups and by Bullmastiff rescue groups in particular. While transportation, vet care and foster care are critical to the process for aiding any breed of dog, they are magnified for large breed dogs where space concerns are greater, breed experience becomes more important, understanding the temperament of the working breed is vital, and where veterinary expenses increase exponentially due to sheer size and the complexity of the various health issues typically affecting Bullmastiffs.
We also battle the stigma of a "bully-breed" and the often punitive breed-specific legislation in parts of the country.. We work diligently to promote a greater understanding of our particular breed as well as encouraging our adopters to seek continued training for their dogs, including participation in events like the AKC's Canine Good Citizen Program and other venues that promote responsible dog ownership.
Our team members have extensive, in-depth experience with the breed and also with rescue efforts. We have a deep understanding of the intricacies of maintaining a large-breed rescue effort, as well as a grasp on the importance of cost control and fund-raising.

Dog Evaluations
Each of our dogs are evaluated before being placed into a foster home to make sure that the dog is a candidate for our program.
Pulling a Dog From a Shelter
BRI volunteers go to the shelters near them to collect the dog and help get them to a safe place.
Overnight Stay
Sometimes a dog just needs a place to stay for one night before it leaves the next morning to continue its journey to the foster or adoptive home. This is often true of dogs who are pulled from a shelter.
Temporary Foster
We need temporary fosters for a variety of reasons. Sometimes we have a foster home lined up for an incoming dog, but that foster family needs a short time period before they can take the dog (such as getting back from vacations, work obligations, etc.) This is when we need a place for the dog to rest its head for a short period until their foster can get them.
We also need temporary fosters to step in for foster families who are going to be gone for vacation, family obligations, etc. This is also just for a short period until their actual foster can get them.
At Wild Moon Realty, our love for homes goes hand-in-paw with our love for dogs. 🐾
We’re proud supporters of Bullmastiff Rescuers Inc, an organization dedicated to giving these gentle giants the second chances they deserve.
Dogs aren’t just pets — they’re family. That’s why we actively support rescue efforts and have personally adopted and fostered dogs in need. We know firsthand the joy, loyalty, and unconditional love a rescued dog brings into a home, and we believe every pup deserves a safe place to land and every home would benefit from that kind of love.
Whether we’re helping families find their dream home or helping dogs find theirs, our mission is the same: creating safe, loving spaces where hearts, both human and canine, can thrive.
If you’re thinking about adopting, fostering, or supporting rescue work, we’d love to connect you with resources. Because at Wild Moon Realty, we don’t just find houses… we celebrate the homes filled with wagging tails. 🐕
